Metroid is currently riding its old games' coattails in terms of relevancy, so I'm hoping that changes soon.
I would probably be more supportive of that stance about ten years ago, but not today. Well, I don't really understand that thinking. If someone was still saying Metroid is a larger franchise than Kirby in 2018. Dark Matter Kirby’s Dream Land 3 (1997) 2. Honestly, not that difficult. This seems like a spin off of the Fire Emblem thread so I will try not to repeat too much. And after you beat him, as a reward he deafens you with a scream. Sometimes he warps exactly where you're trying to go, and as a result you walk straight into him and get hurt. His attack pattern, no, his pattern altogether is very unpredictable. And then there's the scene that unfolds at the end (I hate that scream.
You go through The True Arena to get to him. Galacta weeds out the boys from the men, and Marx Soul weeds out the slightly more manly from the others. He's unpredictable, not to mention an incredibly hard hitter, making him both frustratingly difficult and very rewarding. I HATE MS but this is the reason I died to him in the TA! Oh and I was using the kirby perspective because you can heal using meta knight. This guy has devastating attacks, he moves around the arena, he has a ton of health! Oh and if you have stone, he can send helpers and if you are in rock formation you WILL take damage and probably lose your power-up. THIS should be #1, no this IS #1! Whoever thinks Marx Soul is harder than Galacta was really lucky on the Galacta fight, however others, others weren't, this guy can kill you in just about five hits with his light attacks, everything he has is hard to dodge, if you get to close, he'll unleash a inescapable combo that will take about half of your life away.
